I am new to the RingCentral platform. I also have never configured Polycom phones before. With guidance from RingCentral Support I have been able provision our mix of Polycom VVX 400 and 601 models. I also set them up with soft buttons showing the other extensions using the names of the office’s users.Why can the soft buttons in Position 1 and 2 not be edited or moved in Users → Users with Extensions → Name → Devices & Numbers → Presence? Why does the name of the user of the extension for which the phone is configured appear twice? This is redundant. Can one of them be removed?Also see the attached JPEG file. Apparently, adding inline images in this editor has been disabled.

I want to clean up old Team chats that have been created and not used.  Is there a way for me to do this?  I can’t seem to find it in the Admin tool.

Some of our clients have expressed an interest in utilizing more of the AI capabilities within Ring, with a particular emphasis on wanting call summaries and / or transcriptions. However, they specifically want this information for purposes of an integration.  I’m a bit reluctant to develop functionality through the API as it is still listed as being in Beta, and I don’t want to be writing code that might just suddenly stop working one day. I see that RingEX offers built-in AI Insights, but so far as I am aware those summaries / transcriptions are just within the app and not available for export to an integration via API.  My questions are these: s there any way for RingEX data to be utilized an integration, or is it application-specific? Is there any way to automatically perform AI Insight analysis of call logs via the API, or are we dependent on enabling automatic call log recording, querying the call log API to get the call recording itself, and then passing that to the AI analysis

Why are there two calling windows with the HubSpot integration? Its confusing 

As developer with a “Super Admin” role, and logged in to the developer portal as myself, I created an RC app with JWT authentication.  Our database uses the API to send automated SMS/MMS messages, for which I use the app’s ClientID, ClientSecret, and JWT auth. If I send an SMS “from” a phone number connected to my extension, it gets sent with no problem.  But I’m not the user, just a developer.  If I send with extensionID of “~”, I get error “ "Phone number doesn't belong to extension".  And if I set extensionID to the specific user’s actual extensionID, I get the error message explained by ​@PhongVu’s answer in this older post:But what I don’t understand is HOW to authenticate with the correct extension’s username and password.  Do I have to explain to the agent how to log into the developer portal and create their own app in order to provide me with their own ClientID and ClientSecret?  Or are they expected to provide me with their personal username and password and I use the Base64

How do I get new client calls to generate call recordings?

Apparently there is no way for agents to see each other’s availability in RingCX, but they can in RingEX.  This seems extraordinarily silly.  Does anyone know of a workaround for this??

I am having connection issues with the ringcentral app and Clio.  Once I connect and allow access it tells me that it cannot load user information. How can I get this resolved?

Is there a way I can create a role where the only access they have is call recordings for a specific set of users?

What I’m wondering is if there is a setting that I can activate that will let me record a greeting that will play and then immediately place an incoming call on hold until I can answer it? While I’m currently on the line already?Example: I’m on the phone and the customer is speaking to me. I cannot interrupt them to ask them to hold while I take the new call long enough to ask them to hold while I finish the first caller. I am the only one here to answer the call though. So, I’m wondering if the new call coming in can be answered by Ring Central and asked to hold until I can end the call with the current caller and then switch over to the new caller? Hopefully that isn’t too confusing.

We have 4 extensions in our office, all in same call queue and set to simultaneous ring. Problem is, one of the phones is receiving calls frequently that aren’t ringing to everyone. When the desk is not manned, how can we (others in call queue) grab that call without physically running across the room to answer it?

How do I move an agent to a different group? 

I’m working on a PoC for SMS Opt In/Out with our CRM. I'm performing the following request in a Java app using the latest SDK. My app is authenticating using Client Id/Secret and JWT. var response2 = rc.patch("/restapi/v2/accounts/~/sms/consents", body); This is the response body I get back.{"errorCode":"CMN-408","message":"Unauthorized access","errors":[{"errorCode":"CMN-408","message":"Unauthorized access"}]}I have confirmed that my app has the SMS scope and the SMSSending Feature Flag is turned on. Can you help me troubleshoot what permission/access I might be missing? I have already gone through the getting started tutorial and performed a successful “Ring Out” request, so I know that other REST requests do work.

Call used to ring on the desk phone and RC Mobil App, now it only rings on desk phone.  Its been like this for a couple of months.  Is there a resolution?  I am mobile most of the day not at my desk and don't want the calls forwarded to my cell number because I loose the caller ID.

Hi Team,I believe I may have identified a bug affecting the RingCentral RingCX Salesforce integration when calls are handled through the RingCentral Phone via the RingCentral for Google Chrome add-on.Issues observed: When accepting a call through the Chrome add-on pathway, the Mute button within the RingCX Salesforce Widget becomes greyed out and cannot be selected. If I select any option within the Chrome add-on (e.g., Messages, Dialpad, etc.), the active call exits and can no longer be accessed from within the add-on. Business context:We are encouraging agents to remain within the Salesforce environment so they can: Add the Client ID and Case ID to the call Complete the dispositions accurately Fully leverage RingSense AI features, including call transcriptions At present, the RingCX Salesforce integration does not allow users to manage audio settings or ringtones, which is why the Chrome add-on is necessary as a workaround as we need the laptop speaker to ring for the agents. C

What is the difference between Glip Unified Presence Service (GUP) and RingCentral App - Desktop/Web. I am running the audit trail, and these are popping up as my users' endpoints. Can someone help explain this difference to me? 

Hello - I currently have an Algo 8301 and an Algo 8180.  I have both configured and talking with RingCentral as Paging devices, but can’t seem to get them setup in RingCentral to page when I call and extension.My goal is to have user call an extension, and it to both ring on an extension, and page the warehouse “Supervisors, your have an incoming call”.The Algo is configured to play the file I uploaded to it, but just need help getting RingCentral configured to do what I need it to do.

For the past several months, we've had our users adopt the new RC app to replace RC Classic. However, the RC Classic app somehow keeps reinstalling itself within hours or by the next day (after a reboot), and then becomes the default app that opens at startup instead of the new RC app.How can we fully uninstall the RC Classic app from Windows 10 systems? This is taking up way too much of our bandwidth. I have started just leaving RC Classic installed on our systems (been through this loop four times myself), though that is really not the solution we expect.I do have an open case on this, but it's been on PKI Hold since January.

How can I turn off AI feature for all users?

I wanted to get a Teams notification each time a change occurs on our platform, like a user is updated or deleted - so we could see if people are adding or deleting people without us knowing. The Subscriptions API sounded ideal - and it’s working, to an extent. Each time there’s an update to an extension (user), I get a notification via Webhook to Teams.The problem is, the content of the “event” is… minimal. And I’m not sure how I’m meant to do much with it.This is an example of the body of an event:"body":{"extensions":[{"extensionId":"xxxxxx","eventType":"Update","hints":["ExtensionInfo","CompanyNumbers"]}]}}', 'isBase64Encoded': False}I get that I’m meant to use the Hints values to query that Extension and I can see the new Extension information. Is it possible to add a new contact (a name and number for example) via the API so when a customer signs up there info is automatically added to RingCentral so if and when they call we have their name to show on the screen?

We use Ring Central Polycom VVX 450s across our organization. I have 2 phones that are occasionally de-registering themselves and stating “No Service” then moments later will come back up. I don’t think it has anything to do with PoE as the phones will stay on during this time. The firewall is allowing for connections out to the IP/Port. Would having inbound connections limited affect this? The phones are on two different switches. Again this is only happening to 2 phones that I’m aware of, out of the 90+ in our environment. Any help would be appreciated.
