If we install the App Connect in Chrome,  connect it with Pipedrive, and then never open the App Connect plugin again, will it still automatically sync calls and texts to the Pipedrive deals?  For example, if I have a salesperson who solely uses RingCentral on their smartphone, are there extra steps that have to be taken to sync the calls and texts from RC to PD?Or do you have to keep App Connect open? Or only make calls/texts from the plug in?

Prior to migrating to RingCentral, we had a FreePBX server on prem.One way we found to help stop spam calls was to create a simple IVR for an individual user with a single option “To be connected to John Smith, please press 1.” Can something similar be done with RingCentral? This would force the caller to press 1 before it rings the end user.

Hello,  Can you tell me if RC AI Notes can be programmed to detect keywords that would then prompt an end user to pause the conversation, so we are compliant per PCI DDS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard)? 

If I want a user to have two physical phones in two locations I can make that work by assigning another handset, adding a digital line licence and assigning a DDI to the digital line.I end up with the user having two DDI numbers but either will call both phones and I can ignore/hide one/force called ID of only one number. My user has two handsets working which is great.It would be great to remove the second DDI from the digital line so you don’t see that DDI anywhere but there doesn’t seem to be a way of doing that. Is what I’m doing the best way to do this? Is there a way of having a digital line without the second DDI to keep things cleaner?

Hi folks,  I can’t seem to find a good definition that explains the difference between a Digital Line Unlimited and an Additional Local Number.  On our bill, the cost is very different. So I have to assume they don’t function the same.  So far my understanding is that every new account gets a Digital Line Unlimited, and then they can add additional local numbers to that account. But you can also add another Digital Line Unlimited, it just cost the same as a “new” account.  What is the difference here? When would my second number be another Digital Line Unlimited and not a Additional Local Number? Are there any limitations like not being about to outbound call, etc.?

New User IssueWhen logging into RingCentral via Single Sign-On, the G4S company option is not appearing (see attached image). 

I’ve installed App Connect and every time I try to complete the setup nothing happens. After the authorization screen nothing happens. Just stuck. 

I need to disable all INCOMING caller ID information on 1 specific phone line. The line is for anonymous tips. We have a user who has their office computer paired with a desk phone. When that user goes home do they need to unpair the deskphone before they are able to use the software at a home work station or is the install/pairing unique to each computer? The user would only be using a deskphone in the office.This would be for the Desktop version:   25.3.2015.1059 Windows (x64)

We have several offices that we have a phone number we ported over with. I would like all the phones in the same office to have that main number as a ring out number. Right now it won’t let me pick a number that has already been assigned to a phone.

Is it too much to ask to get the proper release notes for the current version of the RingCentral App?   Multiple versions since the beginning of July have been released and yet all the links and info point to version 25.2.35 which had a release date of July 4th.I find it very unprofessional for a large software company to release versions of software and not have the proper documentation, release notes, bug fixes etc. for the corresponding software version.It would also be quite helpful and logical to actually know WHY we need to upgrade our software from one version to the next.

 Calls are not logged with the contact names from Bullhorn in the RingCentral CRM Extension. Only after manually refreshing a call entry the name from the respective Bullhorn contact is displayed (see screenshot below, for instance “Niels Körner” was manually refreshed to get the name in the display). How can I get a call list, that always displays names and not phone numbers?  

When I answer the phone, it now has a recording that prompts me to press 1 to answer. How do I disable this? 

Hello my firm has been having issues lately where if we park a call then pick up that parked call, it does not always record the notes/transcript and it will come up with a message saying unable to take notes. The weird thing is that it only happens sometimes so we are not sure how to fix it or if it is a human error on our side. If anyone knows anything about this or knows of any fixes so that we are always taking notes, that would be very helpful. Thank you! 

Does RC offer direct dial video FaceTime-like calls?  Skype used to offer it, Teams does not.    I am trying to set up a system to establish video calls with our remote offices.  Any suggestions?

I only want a number that plays a custom message and goes straight to voicemail. I see various way to record this message which I have and I have set what looks like the default behavior to go to voicemail. But  when I call the number it is the “Thank you for calling we are currenlty closed for the dial by...”Any ideas

Hi,  I sit at Reception.  Calls come in and I forward to the appropriate person. The problem is that the person I forwarded the call to sees my name vs the original caller.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

We just switched to ringcentral. For some of our incoming calls we use a callcenter service. That service uses their own non ring central-phone number that leads are calling into but it forwards/rings our ringcentral number first. If we don't pick up, the call center is supposed to get the call. Ever since we switched missed calls are going to our ring central voicemail instead of the call center. Anyone have an idea what is causing this? The service said that they have other customers using ring central without issues. Thanks

When we set up our account there was a setting for max amount of time before being sent to voicemail. This was a different setting than the amount of rings in phone settings. We set it to 30 seconds. But its causing issues and we can't seem to find the setting anymore to change it.Have they removed it in updates?

Users have recently started complaining that their extension will not open when clicked on. The specific user who brought this to my attention this morning, I had removed the extension and re-added it to their chrome and this resolved the issue on Friday of last week. Hoping for a solution as this obviously makes the App Connect plugin useless. 

I have been using "Ringcentral Phone" app because the "Ringcentral App" does not have a quick call feature for new phone numbers or numbers that are not in your contact list. On the phone app, you could hit F6 and it would call any number you had highlighted.The Ringcentral Phone app no longer works for me due to the transition to the new app. This is a deal breaker as we get new customer applications. We then call out on those customer applications in our customer CRM. Now, it looks like you have to manually type the number in or copy and paste, both not ideal solutions considering we do hundreds of calls daily. Is there are faster way to call people using this new app similar to the F6 method used on the former app?

When I view the SMS log on the Admin portal in RingCentral I am able to see the users’ names associated with their telephone numbers in both the “from” and “to” columns; however, when I download the log the users’ names are not showing in the recipient column when they are receiving a text.  Is there a way to add this in?Thank you

When our organization receives a call, and an agent answers, it shows every other agent has missed the call. How do I turn that function off since the call was in fact handled or answered and not missed.
