Trying to access number inventory via API

Hi.I am working on an internal tool for my company to be able to onboard employees into ringcentral. I am able to create the users, but now I want to be able to assign them a number from the number inventory. I am able to successfully make the calls to reassign numbers but was wondering if there was a way to access the phone numbers in the inventory via the API? I want grab this data to be able to parse for specific area codes and then use the ids in the call to reassign numbers.All I see in the documentation is a way to get the phone numbers attached to an extension. Is the number inventory an extension as well? If so where can i find its ID?Thanks,Hoon

How do I get an extension's phone number list excluding "features and company-level numbers that may be used when performing different operations on behalf of this extension"?

Hi. I am currently working on an app that will reassign phone numbers of our employees. I am using this call https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/accountId/extension/extensionId/phone-number. When I do, I get not only the numbers assigned to the extensions but others including “the features and company-level numbers that may be used when performing different operations on behalf of this extension” I just want numbers assigned directly to the extension. I’ve tried changing the parameters but “usage” and “type” but those are independent of this and do not help. Is there a way I can get this information?

Is there an API call to update a group to send all calls to an extensions?  I know you can do this in the web interface, but we are looking for a way to do it from the api (SDK)

Deleting a user added through Azure Active Directory (AAD) RingCentral Enterprise App

I'm trying to delete a user in RingCentral (through the Admin Portal). I keep getting the message: "The user is integrated with your Directory System and cannot be deleted. Please delete the user in your directory system." The user has been removed in AAD. Does anyone know how to remove him from RingCentral?

Unable to download attachments from a post

I have a bot that has been graduated and is able to make calls to the endpoint to get posts:https://platform.ringcentral.com/team-messaging/v1/chats/XXX/posts/PPPI am also able to receive information about the same posts via webhook. In both cases, the bot is using the persistent token retrieved by the bot using the code we receive when added to the environment.However, I am not able to retrieve the contents of the post attachments using that same token. The content URI comes in this format:https://dl.mvp.ringcentral.com/file/NNNI have tried using a browser, Postman, and code (C#). Does RingCentral have a Clio integration for law firms?

Clio is one of the most popular cloud case management systems for attorneys. Vonage, Nextiva, Smith ai and jive (and the list is growing) all have integrations that will log calls, messages and time entries into Clio. Why none from RC? RC customers will be leaving if RC can't adopt this much-needed integration.

SalesForce Integration Ringer Sound Change?

The ringing sound in the Salesforce integration is so loud and is not adjustable in the integration. When someone is on a call with a customer and another call comes in, the SalesForce ringer is so loud that it makes people jump. Can we turn off the ringer in SalesForce? Or at least change it so that it's not so loud? Since it's ringing in conjunction with our other RingCentral apps, it going completely away would be fine.

Seeking API Developer

We had to move away from Ring Central and go to Five9 because of this problem and really want to come back to Ring Central so we are hoping to hire a devleoper that could assist us. We need a online form that is published to a website to pull up automatically based on the call que that is called. Bascally when someone calls que 1 we want the web form for company 1 to come up but when someone calls que 2 we want the company form for que 2 to come up. All forms are websites.

RingCentral Cloud PBX for Teams with Direct Routing integration

Hello community,Has anyone successfully engaged with RingCentral on RingCentral Cloud PBX for Teams with Direct Routing integration?I have tried getting more information on this integration through different channels: account manager, support and sales, all with no success. Everyone points the direction to each other, so I've been going round and round with no concrete information on what it entails to implement this integration nor able to understand the level of effort .If anyone was able to get real information, besides the RC marketing pages and articles, could you please share your experience?Thanks in advance!

Needs Advice on List User Call Records API

Hello Ring Central Community,I am very new to getting data via API but I do have a working script that successfully retrieve our company's call data in the format I wanted. Now my next obstacle is that perPage parameter only allows a maximum of 250 records returned for Detailed view. Is there a way to retrieve more than 250 records?If there is no way to retrieve more than 250 records, what is the best practices from here? I reviewed Ring Central Data Archival but because we don't have a database, I am not sure what to do. We have AWS S3 but currently it is not being used for company reporting. Should we set up an S3 bucket for this?I am also not sure how often the API supposed to be called? Do I need to figure out on average how many coming through every hour and schedule the script to retrieve and append data every hour? What if there is an influx of incoming call and there are more than 250 calls during that certain hour? Thank you in advance for any help or guidance you can

Help resolving issues relating to the redirect URI in OAuth

OAuth's authorization code flow requires developers to register with RingCentral a redirect URL to which users authenticating will be sent upon successfully authenticating. Each app can register multiple redirect URIs (which is commonly just a URL in the classic https:// format) in order to accommodate different user flows. The specific URL an app want to redirect a user is sent by the app when the user is initially sent to RingCentral to login. This URL must match one of the redirect URIs on file for that application. If it doesn't then the following error will be returned by RingCentral: {  "error" : "invalid_grant",  "errors" : [    { "errorCode" : "OAU-109",      "message" : "Redirect URIs do not match" }  ],  "error_description" : "Redirect URIs do not match"} This check is essential to maintaining the security of RingCentral and of your application, and prevents third-parties from hyjacking your app and redirecting authenticated users to untrusted sites. Cannot Access Credentials Page for Developers Within Organization

Hi there,I am trying to create JWT tokens for developers within my organization. I was able to do this successfully yesterday, but today whenever I click on a developer from the Developer List and click the credentials option, it redirects me to the https://developers.ringcentral.com URL and I just get a spinning wheel waiting for it to load. As a side note, I am able to access my own credentials page just fine, and I have the Developer Admin role, but I can’t access anyone else on my team’s credentials page. Thanks,Danny

Control caller id / from-number when using the CallOut API

I am using the following CallOut API to initiate click-to-dial calls from our call center staff to customers:https://developers.ringcentral.com/api-reference/Call-Control/createCallOutCallSession Our call center staff are all calling from either the desktop, mobile, or browser apps, which unfortunately don’t register device ids.  I used the workaround from the following thread, which is scanning the call logs to find the last (dynamic) device id used by each user’s extension. Now that I can initiate calls from a user’s device to a customer, the problem I’m having is that I can’t find anyway to control the caller-id / from-number that the customer sees is calling them.  It’s always showing up as the main company number.  The CallOut API seemingly only takes a device id in the “from” parameter, but no caller id. Is there any way I can set the caller id number seen by the receiver (“to” number) when initiating calls from CallOut?

Sending SMS from n8n with Hardcoded Authorization Token

Hello everyone,I'm working on integrating RingCentral's SMS capabilities into my n8n workflows. I'm looking for a way to send SMS messages directly from n8n using HTTP requests to the SMS send endpoint.However, I'd like to simplify the authentication process by using a hardcoded credential or authorization token instead of going through the full OAuth flow each time.Is this approach possible with the RingCentral API? If so, could someone provide any pointers on how to achieve this?Any suggestions or code examples would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance!

Can OtherPhone device types be used for call supervision?

We have added our own phone on the Ringcentral portal by manually provisioning the sip details. When the List Extension Devices API(https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/accountId/extension/extensionId/device) is called the phone is identified as a OtherPhone. The phone has a unique device id being returned in the API response. But the supervision API mentions that it only works for Sotfphone/Hardpone type.Can anyone confirm if OtherPhone works for supervision?

Message sends failing with SendingFailed

Message sends have been failing for the last 24 hours with SendingFailed status. I don’t see any issues in the developer dashboard, and I don’t see a way to get more information from the API.This is a mission-critical application that has been working for many months. Any ideas on how to debug this to the next level of detail?I created a support ticket as well.
