We have an internal api that sends faxes directly from our database using php mailer. it sends both email and fax. for internal control purposes we need to continue to use this method rather than a new API just for faxes. Our 4 ring central phone lines connect to 4 hardware phones. Can you use a desktop app with the same lines that are assigned to the hardware phones or do you have to buy additional lines?

Hello everyone, I am currently developing a ringcentral widget using webphone.user agent, when I get a call, I can see the session status information with webPhone.userAgent.on("invite").when I start the call I can see the status of the session with webPhone.userAgent.invite.The problem is that if I start the call and the sender answers me, I can't get the session status, what WebPhone.user agent method should I use for that case, since I need that session status to do something in my widget

Good afternoon, I need help with some methods I need and I can't find, there are 2 methods.1) The first method would be for when you create a call (webPhone.userAgent.invite) and you are waiting for the sender to answer, let's say you want to cancel the invitation, I can't find this method anywhere.2) The other would be to cancel the call when it is active, that is to say that you are already talking to the sender and vice versa, I want to hang up but I can't find the corresponding method.I looked for the information in many places and even in the documentation at: https://github.com/ringcentral/ringcentral-web-phone

There's an idea here: Add a text message queue similar to the call queue | Community Ideas (ringcentral.com) That says it's planned, but when should we expect it? is there any way to know? I'm paying lots of money for a text option right now that I can't use, and have no alternative from RingCentral

In our Multi Site instance.... all phone numbers are assigned to Site = Company.I don't see any options to change the Site assignment for a phone number.

I am trying to understand the true number of calls coming inbound and being answered in our call queues.I use the Performance Report, and Queues tab, select the queue I want to look at, the date and KPIs, and get a total inbound and abandonment rate. For example, 695 is the number in the inbound KPI on the dashboard.I then look below at the detail to get to the "user" level. This brings up the users within the queue and the inbound number now says 271. I confirmed these users are those assigned in the queue by double-checking the admin portal and setup. Where did the other inbound calls go?I then narrow the report to the "calls" level with my queue selected in the filters. I now have 263 as my inbound number.I then look at the Quality Report and select the location to see if there is a number that makes sense for inbound volume, and searching by just the location, I now see 315 calls are counted as "inbound".I have searched through the guides, the hel

I successfully created a webhook subscription to /restapi/v1.0/account/~/telephony/sessions. The subscription is active and not blacklisted, but my server isn't receiving notifications from that subscription. These notifications have worked in the past, but after deleting my old subscriptions and creating a new one, the subscriptions aren't coming in according to my Nginx logs. My app client ID is 8838LLxeS6aFN-iuh18BmQ and the subscription ID is 16aa1bc3-b3ad-45dd-bd57-f31106006a27.

Hi folks, I am juuuust getting started with RingCentral & Python, trying to run the sms.py sample app. I filled out .ENV as required, however, cannot run sms.py without error. I get the error:Unable to authenticate to platform. Check credentials. Either code, or username with password, or jwt has to be providedI have provided username, password, Client ID, etc. in .ENV and it is as if the script is ignoring it. I see a line of the script that says:platform.login(jwt=os.environ.get('RC_JWT'))which leads me to belive this sample .py file defaults to using JWT authentication? If so, how do I change it? If not, what might be wrong with my implementation? Thank You!

Hello. We are a new RingCentral customer, cutting both phone and video conferencing to RC around 2 weeks ago. RingCentral phone service has been solid and exactly what we were expecting. However, the video meeting functionality (RingCentral Video) has been so next so unusable. Around 20% of our users watch their CPUs max out in RingCentral Video meetings, leading to broken audio and video to the point the meeting must move to another service. These very same laptops have no issue with Zoom, Teams, GoToMeeting, WebEx, and other competitors. These laptops all meet RingCentral's system requirements with some even being as new as 1 months old, sporting i7 processors and 16G of RAM. RingCentral support on this issue has been close to non-existent. Maybe I'm being unfair to support and they are furiously working on it, but communication is slow. Are other having similar issues?

Does anyone on ringcentral staff know when the new Poly Edge E series phones, like the Edge E350, will be supported for assisted provisioning on RC? I can see the edge B series is supported but not the more advanced E series yet.

Hello,We have an internal number + extension under a corporate account that is shared across multiple users to send outbound SMS so that active case workers can see conversations with external workers. We now want to send some automated outbound messages and wan't those conversations to be sent from the same internal number + ext.When a new API app is created, it auto-assigns the phone extension used for the new app but does not allow that extension to be changed. If the API app is used to send outbound SMS but the "from" field is set to the other account, an error is reported:Parameter [from] value [+1**********] is invalid [Cannot find the phone number which belongs to user]Is there any way to have SMS sent from another number (to fix the issue above) or have the API app username + extension changed to the existing account already being used by case workers?Thanks-

Hi,I would like to create a Group MMS where a number from RC would send an MMS to two or more numbers (outside RC) in the US or Canada.That way when the numbers would get the MMS they could chat in the group chat.Is this something that RC supports? I have one phone system user that wants to be able to answer calls coming in to 2 (or 3) different direct numbers. I set up a call queue for one of the numbers and it works fine through the IVR menu that I set up. (Press 4 for xxxx). However, one other number cannot go through IVR, so if I forward it to the user's phone, he has no idea that it is coming from that "special" number. Is there a way around this?

Hi Community,I have questions regarding app graduation. We have a app that gets telephony session notifcations through webhooks. We use just one filter: /restapi/v1.0/account/~/telephony/sessions1. For testing purposes we removed all permissions from the app, but we still be able to subscribe/unsubscribe to/from the notifications and receive them. How is this possible? What is the reason for giving 'WebhookSubsciption' and 'CallControl' permissions to the app then?2. We have similar situation: https://community.ringcentral.com/questions/109339/exercise-all-requested-permissions-not-met-even-th.html. We need to detect call states such as call start, hold, unhold and call end. From the response in above thread I understood that to pass graduation we only need to subscribe/unsubscribe several times and we only need 'WebhookSubscrition' permission set for the application. Can we group Manager and Members for Call Recording so the managers of each department will only be able to listen to the call recordings for their members.
