I has just found out about text messages getting deleted after 5000. So set up archiver. Issue seems it archives only texts that were made after archive was set up. Is there no option to backup old texts before they get deleted? Can i archive all texts that still exist on Ring central app?  Thanks

 All users currently have call recording enabled for inbound, outbound, and ACR calls. However, we’ve noticed that some calls are not being recorded. I’ve reviewed the settings for all users and call queues, and recording is enabled across the board.We’ve also observed that transferred calls are often not recorded. In these cases, a transcript appears to exist, but the recording itself cannot be accessed.Additionally, some users attempting to manually start recording during outbound calls via the keypad receive an error message stating, “Sorry, we are unable to record the call.”Could you please advise on why this may be happening and whether there is a workaround to ensure all calls are consistently recorded?

Using the “get Company Call Records” and not seeing recipientextensionNumber.  We are attempting to filter calls that route through the AutoReceptionist, then through a user with a specific firstName description.  We want to then “marry” all call legs associated with that single call and then take that session ID and pull that call log into a separate bucket.   We have many different sites in our RingCentral tenant that all have different work hours, so we want to “tag” a call by using a User that has AFTERHOURS in its firstName. Very new to the API world... 

Previously there was a voice recording of a conversation, now it is not showing. How can I retrieve it?

Hi support team, How can I identify the abandoned calls in RingCentral Integration with Salesforce? I can see the call data has been recorded in the Task and Activity objects in Salesforce. It seems like the “Call Type” in Task. What are the unique values that RingCentral populates for this field? Currently I see:Answered Connected Disconnected Hung up Missed No Answer Wrong NumberAre these all available values? Any other values that RingCentral Integration could populate? Is there any guidance or reference? Thank you

I have taken over this account from my ex-business partner (I had him legally removed from the company). I must lower costs and have switched to a cheaper cell phone service. From what I understand I still have another year under my contract that I didn’t even realize I had (this was his account, not mine). Is there any way out of this contract without the $1800+ early term fee? I am honestly considering bankruptcy and giving up, but this is a last resort. My business is my lifelong dream, and I don’t want to throw away everything because my ex-business partner is an a$$.Any assistance would be appreciated. Customer service will only offer a change order to lower costs until the end of the contract, in which still needs to be approved. I really can’t afford to keep any monthly bills that are not necessary, or I will have no choice to close. 

On 4/20, RingCentral desk phones unexpectedly started showing coworkers’ call status. The issue was mitigated by setting “Allow other users to see my Presence status” to Off. What caused this behavior to change without prior notice?

We would like to set up certain physical IP phones with dual handsets so that a doctor and patient can converse with a remote language interpreter.  We were able to do this by putting a splitter on the handset jack with our legacy phones, but when we use existing or bought-new-to-test RJ9/10/22-type splitters on our Yealink phones we’re noticing that the far, interpreter, end can barely hear either the doctor or patient.  We do have a number of other solutions available - specialized hardware from our interpreter services vendor, and iPads configured to video chat with the interpreter service.  In many locations, the use of the iPads or a speakerphone are not appropriate due to the need to protect patient medical privacy.  In certain locations, the physicians prefer a standard IP phone over the vendor’s.Has anyone out there ni the community had to do th

Hi All,  I have successfully downloaded the extension and connected it to my HighLevel account. I can go ahead and click to make calls and that works without issue. However, the calls are no longer being logged in the conversation record of HighLevel. I’ve tried everything from looking at the settings, logging out, signing back in, nothing is working to get calls to log. I was testing this extension just a few weeks ago and it was working fine at that time. Went ahead and removed the extension a few weeks ago and re-installed it yesterday. Since the re-install, no calls will log. Is there anyone that would be so kind to help me out here.  Thanks in advance! Mike

how to create a new message on how to direct calls and then play a message as the call is being transferred. 

There is one phone that rings whenever an extension that is setup as a presence key is called.  The checkbox “Ring my phone when any users I am monitoring rings” is unchecked.  The phone is a VVX450.  All the presence keys have been removed, phone unplugged then plugged back in.  No extensions are shown on the display.  Confirmed by adding calling a couple of the extensions that were previously assigned to presence keys and his phone did not ring.  Added one extension as a presence key, unplugged the phone and plugged back in.  The one extension is now showing on the display.  When the presence key extension is called the users phone rings.  I again confirmed that the “Ring my phone...” box is unchecked.  Tried a resync and still the same thing. Also, tried checking the “Ring my phone..” box, unplugging the phone, plugging back in, removing the check, unplugging the phone and then back in. Nothing seems to work.  Anyone have any ideas as to how to resolve

I have a check box agreeing to receive text at the mobile number provided. It also requires a signature. (along with consent for text messaging and opt out information, link to text privacy policy)Does the customers name and mobile number need to be in the statement with the check box instead of referencing it above?Any ideas are appreciated.

Our receptionst will be out for an extended period and so we need our main phone number, which obviously goes to her extension, to ring to 4 other users so whoever is available to answer, can. We have several IVR menus set up so whatever we do it needs to start on her extension. I hope this makes sense! I’m not familiar with the difference between a queue or shared line or delegations to know what’s best to fit our situation.

I've seen an odd behavior on the call routing 1 user getting double the calls of another, is it possible that the idle time is affected if a user dials a non-existing extension? anyone knows all the things that resets the idle time?

RingCentral's callback system is a masterclass in circular incompetence. You get called with no warning, a voicemail with no direct number, and when you call back you're dumped into a general queue staffed by people who have no idea why you were called in the first place. You're just stuck — can't reach the person who called, can't reach their department, can't resolve anything. And if you're given a scheduling link? The earliest availability is three weeks out. For a company that sells business communication software, the fact that their own internal communication is this broken isn't just embarrassing — it's disqualifying.

i need to set up a text message auto response

My company main number has been unable to receive ANY inbound SMS since Monday April 6th. I am an independent insurance agency. Every text I am not receiving is a potential client or existing client I am losing. This is directly costing me money every single day.I can SEND outbound SMS fine. My other number works perfectly. SMS logs show messages as 'Delivered' but they NEVER appear in any app — iPhone, desktop app, web app — nothing. All configuration is correct. Fax/SMS recipient correctly assigned. This is 100% a backend carrier-level inbound routing issue on this specific number.RingCentral support has been completely useless. I have called repeatedly, over and over, trying to get this fixed, and been told it's 'escalated', then one person emailed me and offered me an appointment on APRIL 19TH. My RingCentral account and extension are currently tied to the ultimate Super Admin role because RingCentral Professional Services set it up that way and we have yet to change it so it’s not tied to an actual user. I recently deployed our first hot desk phone and have noticed that when users are logging in or out it shows in my softphone’s call logs (*90 and *91 entries). There are also some outgoing calls in my logs that I didn’t make that are related to the group that uses the hot desk phone. It’s only a handful of calls at this point, but I was wondering if that’s expected behavior for hot desk phones or if there’s a configuration setting I’m missing. Appreciate any insight!

Good afternoon,We're on day 3 with RingCentral, and we're finding things we really like and little things that make us scratch our head. Overall it's been a pretty good experience.I have something weird going on with the desktop app. When I try to answer a call on Glip there is a 10-15 second delay before the call is answered. When I dial a number there is a 10-15 second delay before it dials.This morning I was in My Extension on service.ringcentral.com. I recorded a new Voicemail Greeting. I left that Window up, and all day long the app calls have been working nearly instantly. I don't experience any delay or issues. As soon as I closed that My Extension on the website the delays reappeared. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience with integrating RingCentral with ITSM tools?We use Hornbill ITSM which doesn’t have any out-of-the-box integration connectors, but I was hoping we could maybe use APIs to have RingCentral record a call and pass parameters into Hornbill via an API call and have it log an incident/service request in the system?
