In order to work remotely and use RingCentral, must you lug the physical phone around with you in order to receive calls? 

I’m trying to find out who our account manager is. Can you kindly help? I tired sending an email to CommunitySupport@ringcentral.com to ask and it was returned undeliverable.  I’m looking to see what AI assistant features you provide and get pricing for it. 

I have at least 3 users now, for whom calls ring their iPhone very briefly, then immediately disconnect. Both queue calls and direct calls to their extension behave the same way. This is very frustrating.

where do i submit an error now in the app, I don't see it.

Our users add contacts to the phone app but it would be very helpful to share these as they are our customers details. Like a Global address list

I can't seem to find an API that would provide a transcription of a recorded call. Am I correct that this is not supported?If so it seems my best option would be to use the text transcription feature of the AI beta. I'd be taking the call recording file, re-uploading it to RC, and then retrieving the transcript. This seems a bit convoluted to I wanted to confirm this is a reasonable approach.Thanks in advance!

I have a T57, and a T54.I have 4 users.All I want to do is set up mutiple accounts inside of the phone, so when the proper person makes an outbound call, we can track their outbound call traffic.  We do not really use extensions, or anything.  All incoming calls should ring to all phones.   I can’t for the life of me figure this out.-Chris

Good morning,We just noticed in adding a new staff member to RC that there’s now a third option in the Call Recording area of User Details.  No Blog entry, no documentation, no news from RC - it just popped up.Anyone from RC want to take a stab at it and let us know what it is, how it functions, how its triggered, and what it says?!?  I enabled it on my extension, and California being a 2-party notification state - would think I would hear something on the callers side.  Nope.  Just silence. (calling to/from my personal cell)Just curious. 

We just purchased RingSense for EX, but I’m not finding much documentation around how to assign a manager to be able to view the related metrics/transcripts/scorecards and etc - most of the docs seem to be geared toward the CX RingSense tool. After I add the license to the users, how to I enable their manager to view the details for their individual staff?  is the only way to create a team within RingEX?  If we create a team, can all members of the team review each others RingSense info, or just the manager.

Pretty much the title. I have some users that need to join RC meetings, but they’re on desktops that only have speakers and no microphones. They just need to listen to the meetings, it’s sort of a group update kind of thing, but it looks like RC won’t let them join their speakers if they don’t have a mic. Is there any way to enable this apart from them having to dial in?

A user asked me this. I am not sure if we are speaking the same terms, but he asked, “If I initiate a Ring video meeting, can I make someone else the presenter?” I can’t find anything related to this. He did state that you can do this in Teams.

I’m switching a phone from one location to another. My problem is I can’t seem to change the Assigned type from a limited extension to a User phone. as well as change the name and extension.Has anyone else had this issue or done this same type of thing?

How do I download the RingCentral Automator app to my desktop for quicker access?

It would be fantastic if the new RingCentral App for Desktop would incorporate the same Plantronics/Poly headset integration that exists in the Phone app. Right now, when using a Plantronics headset, the modern Desktop app does not know how to handle button presses on the headset for answering/hanging up or muting/unmuting. All call controls have to be done from the app itself instead of allowing for headset control.

Hello, We recently onboarded with RingCentral and everything was going smoothly, a few weeks ago we started seeing an error message about calls not logged (picture included) and the call logging page stopped auto populating after the call ended. I have tested this myself so I can confirm that the “Log phone calls automatically” and “Open call logging page after call” options in the settings are turned on. I have found a workaround for the calls not logged error by setting default actions in the Bullhorn options, but my concern is that the default will not always be the best action for that specific note and without the log page auto populating after the call my end users won’t know/remember to change it and our data in Bullhorn will be bad/messy. Are there any suggestions of what we can do on our end to get these features working again properly or is there a fix in the pipeline on the RingCentral side? Thank you! 

Our ring central extension is not syncing any calls or texts into our CRM Pipedrive. When we click the sync button it just goes gray and doesn’t sync any data. Can you please advise?

Hi there,  Now that ringcentral has rolled out AI assistant, is there a way to disable it with an API? I know we have to use a template to override and block the AI, I can’t seem to find anything in the api reference to either disable the API or apply my template that will override and disable the user’s API. 

New Ringcentral customer! I have a user/extension with a dedicated, real phone number. An outsider can currently directly dial that dedicated 888-XXX-XXXX number and reach the user. However, our workflow never calls for an outsider to directly call that user. Instead, we want customers to call our main company number, work through the IVR menus, and (if appropriate) be transferred to that user by IVR. That number is currently receiving many irritating junk calls.How can we block all external, incoming calls to that number, but still allow IVR transfers to it? I tried to remove the external phone number from the user entirely - but it appears ringcentral requires a user/extension to have a real phone number.Thanks for your help!

Our team’s CRM is Bullhorn and we are having issues with logging SMS messages. We are using version 1.3.1, which I believe is the latest version. When manually clicking the log button, we are not being redirected to the next page. The interface remains on the same page and loads as if it is going to log the messages, but ultimately does not log. We have tried turning on the auto log feature and that has not worked either. We have signed out and signed back into Bullhorn & the extension, have cleared our cache, and have uninstalled the extension and reinstalled. Any recommendations regarding troubleshooting are appreciated.

I have set the admin password prior to provisioning but after provisioning it no longer works on the phone. Provisioning has obviously blocked access to the admin of the phone since the Advanced menu has nothing more than change the password but it does nothing. I would like to log into the web interface and back up the configuration and make changes. The standard passwords do not work. 123, 456, 789 and I have seen 7227 and blank as possibilities. Is there a known password or a place in the admin portal to see one? 

Hi, we have recently installed the RingCentral Bullhorn integration (Version: v1.0.9). We use Bullhorn Analytics which is where we set targets and actual results are tracked. Now we have this integration we should be able to set call targets and have actual figures pulling through at the end of each day. How do we set this up?

Is there not a way to create a primary Member schedule. I have a phone queue that changes hands daily where one member has Mondays and one answers the phones on Tuesdays and another one on Wednesdays. I’m told that we go in every morning and change the member who accepts queue calls. Is there not a way to create a schedule so that it turns over to the next person on its own?
