I cannot seem to be able to forward calls to an external number. I get the following message : “you cant forward calls to a number assigned to your account. To forward calls to another extension, please select the extension directly.” Note : the external number I am trying to forward to has been scheduled to be ported into RingCentral next week. Thanks

When trying to connect the RingCentral Unified Chrome extension to the Redtail CRM, I receive the error “Failed to get API Key.” I have verified that my credentials are correct. How do I connect successfully to Redtail?

How to record a non phone presentation in clients home

What phone numbers are added to the pull down list in the Settings>Phone>Default caller ID.  Can I add an additional number to the list?

We were installed a few years back and multiple ring groups were created for us.  Since then I’ve created a few mimicking what was previously done.  Now we have a total of 64 ring groups and the majority have never been activated.  The only ones that have been are ones that someone monitors/manages the voicemails or changes the greeting.  Are there any benefits to having ring groups activated? Thank you

I just got two new Poly VVX450 Handsets, with 1 expansion module each. How do I set up the presence keys to hide the surname/last name? This article hints that I should be able to set the last name to a period to have the last name blank. In practice this does not work. Eg if I have an extension for room AG203 with the following name:First Name: AG203Last Name: .It will show up on the panel as AG203 . I’d prefer it to hide the last name for extensions that do not have / need one displayed. I know I could set up a speed dial instead, which would let me enter any name and number, however I would like to keep the presence detection feature. Thanks

We are a new client and our numbers have been ported over from our previous carrier today.All users are unable to text via the RingCentral Unified CRM extension for Bullhorn.All users are reporting the error, “A valid Phone Number is required to send text message to recipients outside of your company, Please contact your Administrator...”RingCentral and Spectrum Enterprise support stated they do not support this tool, and to reach out here.Direct numbers have been assigned to each user in the RC admin portal.

When calling into our RingCentral number there is a no dial-tone. This is a new problem and I can't figure out how to fix it.

We have several message only extensions used for departments’ general voicemail only.  They are currently configured to email a distribution group with the recording attached.  Since the managers are receiving emails from multiple message only extensions it would be helpful to identify the mailbox in the subject line if the email.  Is this a possibility? My end goal is to have multiple managers monitor multiple mailboxes as efficiently as possible.  If there is a better way to approach this please share your opinions. Thank you

Can extension level telephony session events be subscribed through particular extensions login details( JWT?)?I am not sure how this works, can I subscribe to other extension telephony events using a Super Admin JWT token?

Hello.We are looking to integration calls into our desktop application.  We did some testing, and since most users are using soft phones and due to the lack of stable deviceIDs for those, we are opting for using Call out to call the employees phones directly.  Besides the above, during testing we ran into two issues. One being that an Admin cannot initiate a call out on behalf of another user/extension.  Unless there is another route we will implement an OAuth flow for the users to authorize the system on their behalf.The larger concern however, is during testing we were able to initiate the call without issue, but if the 1st leg, the one initiating the call receives the incoming ring central call, but declines for any reason, the second leg of the call is still initiated, leaving a potential customer/client with dead air.  This could eventually lead up to our number being flagged if it were to repeatedly.Is there any way to manage the call to prevent this from happening, whether throu

The RingCentral CRM Extension creates duplicate contacts in Clio. I wanted to know how to it is possible to avoid this issue and also it doesn’t provide the option of saving contacts only in RingCentral without saving it in Clio. 

Hi! We have just acquired RingCentral through the Vodafone UC subscription, and we would like to automatically create new users in RingCentral using Entra ID. The users currently do not exist in RingCentral. Additionally, we would like to pass attributes such as extension numbers, as well as the area code and the actual phone number, through Entra ID.We have already set up SCIM via the Enterprise App according to the documentation.I have seen that it's possible to create an extension with a softphone, which I have done, and provisioning via the Entra Enterprise App worked on-demand. However, my goal is to avoid manually creating extensions beforehand and then having to reassign phone numbers or extensions afterward.What is the best approach to fully automate this process?Thanks! 

Hi all,Just querying if I can get Trend graphs to display in intervals less than hour?  (ie per 10 or 15 mins).Reason for request.  We had our “Giving (Donation) Day” recently and would like to see if calls spiked to the appropriate queue when we had recognition of the event or specific interviews on radio.I have a report that gives the calls broken down for the hour, but would just like that in smaller interval.  I have also download call logs but cannot work out an effective way of grouping calls (limited excel capabilities).Cheers, Stephen

Is it possible to block a fax number? I receive anywhere from two to twenty a day. We are receiving order confirmations from a vendor and have asked them to stop numerous times. They transitioned to a new program and they can not figure out where the box is to uncheck this oition. They said it’s an anomaly because they can not figure it out. Please advise how to block this fax number from incoming faxes. Thank you

I am having serious problems with the app. If I log into Pipedrive and connect to my RingCentral number, it asks me to uninstall / install the app on the Pipedrive marketplace. When I do that, it kicks out my coworker from their Pipedrive / RingCentral account and asks them to uninstall/install the app again in the marketplace.This will keep happening. I have 3 Pipedrive logins and 3 RingCentral phone lines, how do I connect all of them? 

We have hired an outside company that will be an overflow to several call queues.  If the call isn’t picked up by a call queue member within 20 seconds the call will be forwarded to an external number.  The only place that I can find a setting to forward to an external number is during afterhours.  Am I missing something or is there another way around this? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you

We use RingCentral as our Tech Support Phone line, and we have 4 users who rotate weekly on answering calls during Off-Hours. We would like the ability for each person to send and receive Texts from the main company line during that time.Right now, only the operator can send and receive SMS texts from the main company line. At least give us the option to change who is the operator based on our routing rules.

Hi. I am currently working on an app that will reassign phone numbers of our employees. I am using this call https://platform.ringcentral.com/restapi/v1.0/account/accountId/extension/extensionId/phone-number. When I do, I get not only the numbers assigned to the extensions but others including “the features and company-level numbers that may be used when performing different operations on behalf of this extension” I just want numbers assigned directly to the extension. I’ve tried changing the parameters but “usage” and “type” but those are independent of this and do not help. Is there a way I can get this information?

Do you know if an MSI version of the app with auto-update is available or will be available soon?

I have an employee’s RingCentral Extension that will not give the option to login to Redtail.  Not sure what to do from here.  We have uninstalled and reinstalled the Ringcentral app and the chrome extension.  Here is a picture of mine vs my employees. Any advice?  

Bullhorn Applicant Tracking System Rest API integration request. I spoke to Bullhorn and was told that Ring Central needs to request the integration on their marketplace site. Your competitors already have the integration.

Is there a way to pull my contact list data from our Bullhorn CRM to my RingCentral Application to identify any incoming calls or incoming SMS messages based on our Bullhorn CRM data?  Also to sync the contact data from our Bullhorn CRM into the RingCentral dialer or SMS field for outgoing calls and text messages without using the Tenfold extensions and solely utilizing RingCentral applications?
