RingEX

My status keeps changing from Available to Invisible even though I am active on the computer. I need it not to do that. This is the new app. Ver 20.3.31.2413 Windows.

My business main line / mobile number was supposed to be ported over for both phone and SMS. The prior carrier has completely released the number. The SMS didn’t get ported and we’re being told by Ring Central it’s an issue with the prior carrier and not them porting incorrectly. I have confirmed with the prior carrier they have completely released the number and there should have been no issues. This has been affecting my business for 7 days and support is not doing much to assist.  It is currently registered as required under a larger company acct / umbrella.

When person calls my user from an iphone and then wants to Merge (conference) another call. As soon as they hit Merge, the call to the Ring Deskphone drops immediately. This seems like it could be related to :https://community.ringcentral.com/questions/93312/cannot-merge-calls-iphone-error.htmlThis is super frustrating. I tested this on multiple ios devices with different versions and it happens on all of them. How could this be ? I have never heard of a system in which conferencing calling is effected in this way.

I have a user who is part of a call queue. Her “Accept queue calls” option automatically gets ticked on, on a regular basis. Before it used to happen occasionally but now it appears to be happening more often and throughout the day. Staff rotate on the call queue every day. Her status automatically gets enabled, and she would need to login and have to manually disable the Accept queue calls option regularly. Has anyone experienced something similar / found a solution?

I have an employee that has left the company and I would like to disable their user information (phone number and extension) and replace it with our new employee.  However, when I select the 3 dots under user I receive the following message and are unable to navigate the next steps. This extension is a destination route for the following IVR menu and cannot be disabled. Name Ext. Main Menu 1001

I like the new RC for Salesforce app now that we have templates. One missing piece is the ability to add merge fields. This would contribute to efficiency of sms within the Salesforce environment. Can we get merge fields on the roadmap? I see we can do them from Flows.

Hello there,Need some help configuring a call flow - I have a new flow. There is a hotline for printer support, after hours it will forward to general support. When it does forward to general support, it is just showing the caller ID calling the support. Is it possible to configure it such that it is showing the original queue (printer support) for the agents in the general support group? I did a quite search about using over-flow, but I cant see that option though.

Quick question from a newbie who has little clue what’ flying here, I’m currently transitioning from Unitel and want to confirm whether our previous phone setup can be replicated here. With Unitel, we had 2 actual phone lines and an auto receptionist with options/extensions 1–5. We also had what I would describe as internal extensions (e.g., 101, 102, 103).These internal extensions did not require separate phone lines. Each could have its own voicemail box, call recording, and call-forwarding settings. Calls could be routed to these extensions either directly through the main phone system or when someone selected one of the 1–5 auto-receptionist options and the initial call was not answered.During onboarding, I was told that we may need a separate line for each of these internal extensions. Is that necessary, or can we set it up similarly to Unitel, where we maintain only 2 main phone lines but have multiple internal extensions with their own voicemail, recording, and forwarding capabil

How can we configure that enables transferred calls to return to the transferring extension when the destination user rejects or misses the transfer? If transferred call is not answered by the receiving extension it should return to the originating extension.Or if there is any alternatives we can use to achieve this requirement?

I have at least 3 users now, for whom calls ring their iPhone very briefly, then immediately disconnect. Both queue calls and direct calls to their extension behave the same way. This is very frustrating.

We have been live on RingCentral EX for over a month now and haven’t had issues until yesterday.  I have tickets open but was curious if anyone else has / had experienced this.We have 125+ Polycom desk phones.. starting yesterday we’re having 2 issues.1-way audio or no audio at all.  The user hangs up and calls back and ALWAYS gets successful 2-way audio on the 2nd attempt. Phones are showing Not Registered then go back to normal after a few moments.  When this happens, the port does not go down on the switch side.  I’m the sole firewall administrator and no changes have been made there.  The only thing I know that’s changed is we got a notice that the Polycom firmware would be updated to 26.2 on May 17th.

We have text auto-reply enabled under Settings > Text > Reply to all texts for our main company texting number, 8**-***-****.The auto-reply is turned on and saved, but inbound texters are not receiving the response. We intentionally have the separate Reply after hours option turned off because our business hours are extended to cover evening classes/events, and our general auto-reply is written to work for both regular and after-hours texts. Can you please confirm:Whether Reply to all texts works for shared/company numbers; Whether it should trigger on every new inbound text or only once per sender/conversation; Whether this needs to be configured through Workflow Builder / Automator instead; Whether anything on our account or number setup is preventing auto-replies from sending.Thank you.

Our Google and Meta pages are registering a large number of click to call responses from our ads, but we are not receiving the calls. We believe that they’re being filtered by the RingCentral software. Does anyone have experience of this, and a solution? Thank you

Call recording is one of the most powerful tools for quality assurance, training, and compliance. However, setting it up correctly—and understanding who has control over what—often raises questions. Whether you need to capture every inbound conversation for regulatory compliance or simply want your team to have the flexibility to record a quick sync, RingCentral Community has you covered.Below are the guide and information you need to enable call recording, followed by answers to the most frequently asked questions in the community. How to Enable Call RecordingTo set up or change company-wide recording behaviors, you must use the RingCentral Admin Portal.Admin vs. User Availability: These enabling steps are strictly for Administrators. Individual standard users cannot turn on company-wide automatic or on-demand recording features for themselves; they can only utilize the on-demand recording feature during a call if an admin has enabled it for their extension. Setting Up On-Demand Call

Hello, has someone heard this weird tone or music when making an outbound call? It does not occur on every call, only in a few. It is a bit hard to describe but it’s like an ascending musical or tone scale that fades out. Sometimes it only sounds for like a second and other times for more, up to 10 seconds or so, before you can hear the “waiting-to-be-answered” tone or the person you’re calling picks up.  I’ve heard it and paid no attention to it but now it has happened a few times today and was wondering if anyone else experienced this and could know what this is.  Thank you!

Hi, im having issues entering the SMS Campaigns, is just stays in loading is this normal?

Yesterday at 4:26pm ET, our company's ability to send or respond to "text" messages just stopped. Now, we just get an error message stating "Unable to send message. Sorry this message couldn't be delivered." However, I can still receive messages. And I can still send photos, videos, and docs just not texts. This happened last month in which my account manager stated that I need to add a sms bundle, which I did and that tripled my monthly bill, but now it's not working again.I filled out the TCR application AFTER the issue started yesterday in which my brand is now registered and I'm waiting on the campaign to be approved. However, I'm not certain that this has anything to do with the TCR since I'm able to send photos, videos, and docs without limitation.I have called several times in which no one has an answer for me. No one answers my support tickets. And my account manager, Harold, seems to only get back to me when it's convenient for

Has anyone figured out a workaround on how to use Private Park locations without turning on HUD on the SOFT APP?

It looks like, in the RingCentral Desktop app or the backend of RingCentral, if a past user has the same initials as a new user of the same extension, RingCentral doesn't update the extension with the new user's name until a search is done for the past user's name.User-A couldn’t find User-B in the RCDTapp, but a search for Past-User-B (whose recycled extension is now User-B’s) would come up and pretty quick AFTER Past-User-B RC info came up, it THEN updated to reflect current User-B!  All the backend settings and details for User-B was correct, it seemed like the local cache for User-A just would not update in-depth due to Past-User-B and User-B having the same initials!

After setting system up, can I change extension numbers to everyone?

We have a separate phone number for a different part of our office that we don’t have staff for at the moment.  I would like to forward that number to our main number, so we can all answer the calls and schedule patients.  I wasn’t sure how to do this?  We are using the ring central desktop phones, if that helps
